Now Animecon is over, I can start focusing on getting information about the AMV Compo online. I am not certain when the information will be available, but I am going to try and make it as soon as possible.

Okay, good to know. In the meantime I will gather my videosamples but really want to know if my audiotrack can be used without breaking down the whole audio-installation in the room xD

note to self: try to be back stage during AMV compo, rather than in front of speakers. XD

But yeah, the AMV compo will be back.

=)

One of the Abunai staffmembers pointed out that the rule 'you break it, you pay it' is in order. I can tweak the decibel output with various audio editing applications but it might lose it's power (to laughter).

I remember last year's "breakdown" AMV. While very cool, the noise at the end was annoying due to being too loud. And I stood behind the balcony's last row... Don't forget these are really powerful speakers you're talking about here, not exactly your average home-cinema set =P

@JakeR:
Why do i feel compelled to agree on the breakdown amv???

in general, Anime2008 caused a sudden rush of inspiration, which was kind of lacking since august 2008. I will compete. And i have come a long way since last years entry. Just let me know if the registration form is up, so i can fill it in the day before, so fast.

For all those who are reading this, and are going to compete, gambatena.

Nice forum btw...

As long as you don't tweak the rules to much because you know someone is wanting to bring a sh--load of noise to the AMV Compo ^___^;

as it looks now the rules about the content itself will be tweaked extremely little (if any at all), about the rest I don't know yet since it's a work in progress.
