Even with just the two of you talking, this is still one of the longest and most active threads here

People who have enough time to make AMV's also have enough time to come here and say, hi.

I'm not sure about that; someone can have a multitude of reasons why he or she does not want to engage in slowchat.

As for me, whether I will meet the deadline or not depends entirely on how many other important things I have to do until then.

How's everbody else doing?
hmmm~ depends on how you count. totally finished? a total of 28 seconds...XD (and i might change my mind and edit some stuff there as well) but i already have the big frames of the amv set up.
so if we're talking about the rough version, i think about 1:50.

oh, and even though you might feel lonely, i check this thread everyday to see if someone posted..=) ( it kinda makes me feel less alone if i'm not the only one in trouble...haha), and it gives me motivation to work harder. =)

Lol, I do exactly the same thing .
Especially when the conversation gets all technical, and I'm reading it thinking "I don't understand any of this :S".
Does any1 know a way to improve the quality of a clip btw? I've got one with rather bad quality, but I've been unable to find any better looking source (I think it's rather old, at least it looks old ).

You could try this in Vegas:

For some older series, what seems to work for me (in vegas) is to apply the effects Unsharp Mask and Color Correction Secondary. For that last one, slightly increase saturation (not too much). I use some older footage and it looks a lot better this way D:
Your mileage may vary.

Ok, tnx. Looks like I'll have to download the trial version then (Using Windows Movie Maker atm). Is there a version you recommend or is it anything goes?
Think I'll wait with that till the vacation though. That way I'll have enough time to actually use the trial .

I'm at 40 seconds now.
Gonna have fun masking another 10 seconds frame-by-frame.
Still don't have all of my material yet, but other than that things
go pretty smooth.
