There's also those inbetween tunes like:
A diabloic Waltz (Kuroshitsuji OST)
Social Ball (Vampire Knight OST)
Waltz with Adonis (Ouran High school host Club OST)

there's many more, You can start with the Ouran OST as most of them are in a 1/3 (waltz) rythym. Just wanted to srop that in.
Anyway, I'm very excited for the ball! Wow!
I agree with the quoted comment. I feel classical/waltz music would be best for a masquerade. Many great Waltz medly's can be found on youtube but some of the songs I feel like the masquerade MUST have are:

Johann Strauss II - Vienna Blood Waltz ( Andre Rieu's version)
Johann Strauss II - Blue Danube Waltz ( Andre Rieu's version)
Johann Strauss II - Voices of Spring Waltz ( Andre Rieu's version)
Iosif Ivanovici - Waves of The Danube ( Andre Rieu's version)
Andre Rieu (Emile Waldteufel) - Skaters Waltz
Pyots llich Tschaikovsky - Waltz of the Flowers
Juventino Rosas - Over the Waves Waltz
Yoshihisa Hirano - Misa no Uta (orchestra) [Note: It's from DeathNote]

I really hope to hear at least some of the songs mentioned above back at the masquerade!

I would like to propose another song: Hedwig's theme from the first HP movies.

And further I would like to vote for a mix of both.

Cheers,

Of course the Waltz for the Moon from Final fantasy 8 needs to be included!

I recall a few songs (mostly with waltz in their name which helps :P), maybe some of them are useful.

Anastasia - Once upon a december (both instrumental and with voice are viable)
Anastasia - Learn to do it waltz reprise (instrumental version would be best)
Ashita no Nadja - Waltz #5
Frozen - Winter's Waltz
Final Fantasy VIII - Waltz for the moon
Soukou no Strain - Waltz for Strain
Death Smiles - Waltz for aristocrat Ghosts
Batman - Waltz to the death
Tchaikovsky - Waltz of the flowers
Vampire Princess Miyu - A waltz of a puppeteer
Dragonica - Halloween Waltz (Basically the same as Disney's Once upon a dream - Sleeping Beauty, but more orchestrated)
Old Boy - The last waltz
Wolf's rain - Tip toe waltz
Spirited away - Reprise

I really love the idea of the ball! I'm so looking forward to it! And I've voted for the mixed music. I love anime (ofcourse) and I think that mixing classic with anime could be a really good option. So you have classic music, but it still has something to do with anime ;3

I love the idea for a masked ball and I am really looking forward to this ! I voted for the classic Waltz.

Is there any more information about the ball out yet? like what day, the time, the location at abunai? I can't wait for this to happen

What a great idea! I would personally prefer classical-styled music from anime and games and stuff, mixed with some classical numbers that have appeared in anime.

Some I like that haven't been named yet:
Waltz of the Sea - Double Team! by Pokémon Reorchestrated
Ocean Waltz / Surfing Theme (feat. Michaela Nachtigall) - Pokémon Reorchestrated: Kanto Symphony
(I think most of the music by Pokémon Reorchestrated would fit, though.)
Yoko Kanno - Honey Mustard Waltz and Waltz for Zizi
Erik Satie - Gymnopédie No.1 (used in The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya)
(The use of classical music in Evangelion is superb, by the way, but I'm not sure if people actually dance to it?)
