Quite a lot are just one or two fighting scenes with some metal/rock - ish music to it. Many contain subtitles as well (that tends to tick me off lol). The worst AMV I have ever seen is hidden somewhere in this thread, it just froze for half a minute somewhere in the middle. :S
Lmao, it actually froze? XD
That really sucks(sorry if the maker is in this thread, it just.... is bad XD)
I know i slowed down and stuff, just thought keep going on beat would be boring(i fail for thinking that XD)
But getting a version without subtitles for the anime i used as source is very hard, as it is hard to find on the internet.

I don't think the maker is actually in this thread, no need to worry.
Going on beat is never a bad thing in my opinion, just don't do the same thing through the whole AMV over and over again.
Mmm yeah, that can be a real bugger. Sadly I don't know that much about removing subtitles (this year's abunai was my first compo and AMV lol)

Removing subtitles is quite easy, i use a program called emicsoft video converter,it can convert videos to almost all file types and you can even remove the subs with it.
And that amv was my first one too, never participated in a compo before.
And im going to do pretty much beat synch since im gonna use dubstep

Never heard of that program before, I'm going to keep it in mind just in case I ever have subtroubles.

That only works with MKVs (I use Xilisoft Video Converter for that), since the subtitle tracks are seperated in it. If you have build-in subs (in .avi &so on), it gets a lot lot harder to remove them.

Got to love mkv's for that. Sadly Vegas doesn't accept them for some reason, so you need to do some stuff before you can actually use them. :S

True, but there should be soft sub versions like MKV's or something of the anime, otherways you have a too low quality source anyway as anime.

True, maybe sony vegas will allow removing subs and mkv as filetype in the future.

Dead topic is dead XD

Already thinking about it, gonna need to cut off a bit of the end of the song, other ways i can't make my awesome intro for the amv (gonna make some plot at the beginning lmao mixing 2 animes into 1 amv)
Im going to use 2 animes:
Mainly an anime im not gonna say before people steal my ideas(it was hard to find as source, but found it soft subbed after a long search)
and highschool of the dead as secondary source.

And the song?
Skrillex dubstep, not gonna tell which one :P
probably gonna cosplay the main character of my amv too.

It's not really surprising this topic is dead. It's still quite a ways to go before Abunai 2012 and before that we have Tsunacon, YaYcon (not going there myself) and Animecon.

Anyway, glad you found a soft-subbed version of your anime. Keeping it a secret is probably a good idea even if it is just because it is more fun to surprise people with what you've cooked up.
