please keep questions/post in English.

You are not able to participate in the show twice because you don't have time to change cosplay in between.
Second reason is that it isn't fair to the others since you would then have twice the chance to win a prize

If you sign up for either show and later change your mind, you can send us a request to change the sign-up. One thing though, we will only change a sign-up once.

Y'know, not to sound overly critical or anything like that, but I'm very curious about this so I have to ask: why exactly did you choose to hold the Eurocosplay qualifiers on Friday?

I know it's probably a bit late to change things by now, but this just seems an extremely unpractical day for people to participate in a big competition. Most people'll be arriving at the convention site in the course of the afternoon, and will have to take care of things like getting their ticket and checking into their hotel room (or off-site hotel, which is even more time consuming), and combining that with changing into a costume, doing makeup and all those sortsa things and still being on time for compo rehearsels makes for a very tight (if not impossible) schedule if you're not there extremely early - and that's not even taking into account people who can't even get to the con untill the evening, or who can't be there on Friday at all, for whom the option to participate is pretty much invalid.

Personally I'll likely be there either a day beforehand or very early on Friday so for me it's not a huge issue (I am, thus, planning to sign up, though I'm still a bit on the fence about it), but I've talked about this with a number of people and they all mention it as a big deterrent to entering in the competition. If the number of entrants for the qualifiers is dissapointing so far, I think we can pinpoint this as a pretty valid explanation for the fact. And yes, I know you can't have everything on Saturday, but really, if you manage to land a big international competition like Eurocosplay, why wouldn't you hold it on the biggest day of your convention? More possible entrants, a bigger audience, it just seems logical to put it front and center. Just leave the fashion show on Friday and tack the Eurocos qualifiers at the end of the group competition or something. Once again, I'm not trying to come off as confrontational or overly critical here, but the choice just kind of confuses me.

Thank you cell for your comment.
I believe it is a very good one at that. Unfortunately we always had the cosplay act compo on Saturday and this show cant be done on either Friday or Sunday due to the time it takes to set it up.
We tried to put the eurocos on Sunday last year but that was a total disaster.

But again, your argument is valid and we shall look into this.

Though I wouldn't know about organisational troubles, a big problem for competitors with having the competition on Sunday was the fact that changing into their costumes and being at the rehearsels in time conflicted with checking out of their hotel rooms and finding a place to change into their regular clothes after the competition (I know it was an issue for me). By placing it on Friday, you're just replacing potential problems regarding check-out times with potential problems regarding check-in times. Really, my advice'd be to just combine the Eurocosplay qualifiers with the group acts instead if at all possible. Anyway, those're my two cents - glad to hear my argument's not fallen on deaf ears. (:

How important is it that the reference picture I choose is the same as my cosplay? I want to do some parts of my cosplay different than the original, so I can impossibly find an exact picture of what I'll make.
