Sofar I know, 2 or 3 weeks before Abunai begins you have to sended it to Lord Stone which will handle it further.

Yea, the deadline is 2 weeks before Abunai, so that would be the 26th of August. Your AMV has to be under three minutes and has to be PG friendly (considering the cosplay compo is an all-audiences showing).

At the moment, it looks like the AMV compo is half an hour, which means only the best AMVs fitting into that time will be shown if there are too many. I doubt this will happen though.

what software do you use to cut the video's into seperate frames?

and what software do you use to re-assemble it afterwards and put the music under it?

might be fun to do one... already have a great idea for anime+music combination...

The sending part is something I am thinking about still. The easiest way would probably be to upload it to my FTP, information on that will come within time.

As for software, there are various pieces of software you could use. I think that one of the easiest to use would be Adobe Premiere, you can do both the video and the music with that.

there are a few thinks you can use.
You can do it the very very easy way thats is the windows movie maker way. I would not recomment that.
or you can use something like adobe premiere/ vegas video / magix video
/ Pinnacle Studio

i use at the moment virtualdub to cut my videos (and some other stuff to but it from dvd to my hdd)
And i put it together adobe after effects but i would not recomment that for beginners.
I would recomment then adobe premiere you can download a trial version from the adobe website.

@kyana with help i mean helping for example with the software(premiere/vegas/virtualdub) or if you want something don i could explain how you could do that. That kind of help i mean
same for Saniiro-San if you need help with the software just ask.
you could also add me on msn if you want some help.

Ok,
You can use Premiere from Adobe to work in with the standard codec.
You can, when your done, export it to Xvid or Divx, if possible in 3ivx, Xvid or Divx from which we will convert it further to our end result that will be shown in the AMV contest.
Please make sure that you put a pretty low keyframe setting (preferably 1 keyframe per 30 to 50 frames for good quality).
If possible, make also 720x480 for the heights and width which we can use for our end result.
Discuss with Lord Stone further how you will send it to him.

is shonen-ai allowed? ^_^ mildly of course, I don't plan to make a yaoi AMV.. :P and is there a minimum time limit? My AMV will probably be 1 minute and 11 seconds(hand drawn you know, takes a lot of time..), is that allowed or is it too short?
