Well that's okay. Technically it's a bit like D&D, but real life. You can always ask the staff if they can schedule your shifts around it.

For this quest, it's basically acting like your character would. When you're cosplaying, it should be a little easier than when you're playing a character you've made up yourself and may still be figuring out your char's personality. A character from a manga, anime or game already has personality.

As for fighting, we keep it straightforward and easy.

The battles at EFF are scripted as far as I know and they're meant to be a show. Real LARP doesn't have a ready set outcome because all that depends on the players' actions. This quest is different from the EFF battles in the sense that you'll not only be fighting, you'll also be roleplaying and looking for a way to send the villains back to where they belong

May I ask wich day you are planning to do this? I'm interested but I'm not yet sure if I can go more then one day (or if there will still be tickets when I'm back from vacation)

And what's the difference between a 'normal' wooden bow and a LARP bow?

Why would you want to do that? It's an event that she's hosting by herself, Abunai's organization has nothing to do with this.

lies! this is an officially sanctioned event by Abunai in coorporation with her. it's in the conbook, schedule and everything.

please be really careful with assumptions you make... they might end up being untrue which confuses the hell out of other readers.

The LARP event is scheduled on sunday for now, though things might still change (chance is small though in this case)

Oh. Hum. No, I assumed that you weren't involved at all...then again, my assumptions have been wrong more then once.

My previous post can be considered as not written~

LARP Arrows are specifically designed so that you can fire them at people without accidentally piercing their body or otherwise injuring them, the tip being much wider and thus blunt, and made of softer material:

Because of this they're quite different in weight and there's also more pressure when firing it. I'm guessing this is the main difference between a normal bow and a LARP bow, that they've been reinforced to be able to fire those arrows.

(note that this is mostly an assumption of mine, so waiting for Tmar to verify this.. )

I would join as a NPC, but since I have no LARP equipment (and cosplay >_>), I doubt I could join ^^.
Unless someone wants to lend me some equipment and a t-shirt ninja is ok :P (xD)

The difference between bows used for sport and bows used for LARP is in the force that can be produced by bow and string to shoot the arrow. LARP bows mustn't be able to generate too much force or even LARP arrows will hurt seriously.

So far I have 3 NPC's, so there is still room for one NPC and lots of players.
Power2all, ninja is fine, either as player or NPC. Ninjas are in lots of series. I have LARP weapons you can borrow if you need one.

All information is in the first post.

However, if you decide to participate, let me know before the convention so I'll know who will be there and which weapons I'll be lending to participants. I don't have an unlimited supply you know.

I'll be meeting most of my LARP buddies in a week's time at Castlefest. I'll ask around if anyone of them is coming to Abunai. They could bring some weapons too if neccesary.

In LARP there is one important advice I can give you: Never assume (Yes, the Legacy Mage Guild will forever be in my heart)
