Well, I did get the recipe from Issha but it is in Dutch. I posted it here. The only thing I forgot to put there is that it needs to be in the oven for about 15 minutes at 190 degrees (I'm going for 200 tomorrow ).

I'd also like to ask if it's ok to put this on my website with a bit more information and a few pictures. So, can I do that? There will of course be a reference to Abunai!.

EDIT: Improved recipe: here (still in Dutch).
EDIT2: Both of the above links are dead now. Please go to http://patrickbregman.eu/blog/2010/0...lonpan-recept/ for the recipe plus a few pictures

Yay! That saves me a lot of writing work!
Just a little note: Add butter somewhere around #28

[Edit] Oeps, ik lette niet op, sorry [/Edit]

Well, I kinda cheated For the cookie dough I first mixed the egg with the butter (add only little bits of butter and mix it properly!) and then just before I was going to mix this with the flour I thought "hmm... I still have sugar..." so I mixed the sugar with the butter/egg and then added the flour. They still taste very good

Like I said on MSN, there's not just one fixed way of making baked goods.
There's just a global order in which you do stuff. When and where you can play
around with this order depends on the product and ingredients.

I finally got around to making some pictures of the melonpan I made using above recipe. I tried something different and wrapped the bread dough in cookie dough I didn't make pictures of the process of making them, 'cuz then I wouldn't have a working camera anymore . Anyway, onto the pictures then.

Before and after a trip trough the oven:

As you can see one of the melonpan cracked the cookie dough more than the others, but I guess that the cookie dough for this one was just a bit to thin. O well, it still tasted good

And a little question to end this post, would it also be doable to use other stuffing, like apple or jam? Since no one in my family really likes the chocolate (so now I have 3 melon pan all for myself, yay!)

patrickB

looks really awesome. Glad that my Workshop inspired poeple on doing it al by them self
why to cookie dough broke is because it might be to thin or wrapped to tight around it.
it is possible to use jam, but be carefull not to use 2 much, because if you use to much of it it might spill out during baking (the bread might break and the jam will be going out) jam has a certain degree off water in it, wich result in steam, vaparized water (steam) expands and want to go outside.
so be carefull with it, and good luck trying different things ^^

Alright, so next time I'm going to put other stuff inside.
And the one that bursted was the one I first wrapped... Was trying to make the cookie dough way to thin. But that's just a lesson for next time

Ah, I almost forgot. You really really really have to do this with two people, otherwise you are stuck somewhere in the middle when your hands are all dirty with dough all over your hands
