In my opinion, general mainstream hiphop gets people going nowadays 2 you know.
It might be odd to see it in a disco, but when I go out and I hear a hophop song I see a lot of people that start to go crazy at that time.
Still, it's only a suggestion and I don't know if many convention goers like it that much.

Besides that, I think Shookie already said enough

Hiya,

How about Nightcore? (Which is basically a type of remix)
In my opinion the songs have a good speed to it, so it's good for dancing. At the same time it still has some melody and stuff in it .

Good luck and have fun DJ'ing anyways

I really, really, REALLY dislike dubstep.
There are a FEW songs I actually like, but most of the dubstep is totally, not-cool.
Lots of people ask me why I never play dubstep, and thats just the fact that I dislike the style to the bone.
I didn't found any good anime remixed dubstep songs, so if you find any on soundcloud or somewhere, let me know

I would say some Drum and Bass will do. Especially some Liquidcity DnB (Ex. Netsky)
And dubstep is also a great genre to dance on. But most of them are a bit slow, so you might think about some alternative dubstep such as Skrillex or some drumstep.

music taste here is astonishingly good here, awesome, can't wait.
as for me, progressive trance are a big plus for me. Since trance was already recommended, my suggestion is a bit in vain haha
