Pokemon Competition 2010

Now that we voted for this, there will be a Pokémon competition this year again.

HOWEVER

Things will be different this year. Registration isn't at the convention itself. Instead you need to mail your registration. Once at the convention there is no way of entering anymore.
The reason we do this is to minimize the amount of hackers ( or Pokésavers) even more( since we know that some slipped through last year). Mail us with your name and the fact that you want to compete. We will reply, asking you to send us the team you are going to use (example following). After that has been done you will once again recieve mail which will tell if you are registered or not. If we see something that is not right we will give you 1 more chance. Screw it again and no competition for you.
Also... if we see something not in order at the convention itself...
COMPETITION BAN FOR 3 YEARS, and not only at Pokémon, but at all game competitions.
Also noted, all information sent is classified, none other than the staff will be able to see it so don't worry about that.

Now about the information, it should look like this.

If know, where you put the EV points in, if you don't know this. It is still possibly to roughly trace the IV so don't think this is an easy way out. No need for exact points( if you do, it is welcome) but a rough indication should be fine.

Do this for all your 6 pokemon and mail us at: gamesroom@stichtingabunai.nl

Battles are 3 vs 3 except for the finals which will be 6 vs 6
These pokemon are banned:
Arceus / Darkrai / Deoxys / Dialga / Garchomp / Giratina / Giratina-O / Groudon / Ho-oh / Kyogre / Latias / Latios / Lugia / Manaphy / Mew / Mewtw / Palkia / Rayquaza / Shaymin sky form / Wobbuffet / Wynaut

Hax items are banned:
(Brightpowder, quick claw, focus band, king’s rock, stick, razor claw, razor fang, lax incense)
OHKO moves are banned (fissure etc)
Sleep clause is on (you can’t bring more then 1 pokemon asleep on the same team at the same time)
Freeze clause is on (you can’t freeze more then 1 pokemon on the same team at the same time)
Evasion clause is on (you can’t use moves like double team etc)
In case of a draw by weather effect both players play again with 1 pokemon.
In case of draw by recoil damage/life orb the user of the move will win.


If you have any objections against this make sure to post it so I can throw it away...

ok this list is nice and stuff..
BUT!!! when is the last chance when i can send my list in?? i have a couple of teams already and im planning to make some other pokemon

edit: their ruining the tiers @ smogom...so what is legal today is illigal tommorow if u know what im saying XD

Can you also register and then later cancel or change team? Is there a dead line or limit for players?

@justyvar, about 4 weeks before the con. But I think that when you wait that long you might not be able to enter. So don't wait too long.
@Danyx, Yes that is possible. But 4 weeks before the convention it is final. If your team is different it will result in an immediate ban. And as said before, not only for Pokémon.

So if i'm correct the last chance to register your team is 4 weeks before the convention as well?
Oh and level 50 or level 100 battles?

Something i remember from last year is that Aqua Jet + Belly Drum on Azumarril was not allowed. At that moment i didn't understand really. Well that is would be broken was only thing that came to mind. The problem however why that moveset is forbidden is that it is an illegal moveset. There is no way that Azumarril can learn those moves at the same time.
So if that rule will still be used it would be more fitting to say that illegal movesets are not allowed. Just like the VGC rule that gives exceptions to moves learned from previous games or event moves.
It is logical though that pokémon with impossible moves are not allowed to use anyway though.
